We were delighted to announce the winners of our road safety banner competition in assembly today, in conjunction with Penny and Cheryl from Save Mirfield. The entries were of such a high standard that Save Mirfield decided on joint winners who each received a book token to spend in Waterstones. Their design will now be printed onto banners to be displayed outside school as a reminder to motorists. Thank you to everyone who entered, there were some great ideas! 10 Likes

They explored the roads around our school and identified barriers that can make walking to school more difficult. They also discussed ways to reduce the number of cars parked along nearby roads, helping to make the area safer for everyone travelling to and from school.
