Class Teacher – Initially Y1

Crossley Fields Junior & Infant School is an inclusive and caring school with a commitment to ensuring a high quality curriculum for all our children. Due to the promotion of three members of staff this year, we are looking to add high quality teaching expertise and experience to our team. Ability to and experience of leading a subject is essential to the role, and the subject will be negotiable.

The successful candidate will be working as part of an experienced and forward thinking team. For this role particularly, the candidate must have a sound knowledge of phonics and the teaching of phonic phases in preparation for the Phonics check at the end of the year.

  • v able to work with groups of children or 1-1 within the classroom?
  • v knowledgeable about children’s development and the National Curriculum?
  • v able to support children in developing their self-care needs to become independent young people?
  • v looking to work in a supportive team where ongoing training is prioritised?
  • v a team player with excellent communication skills?
  • v wanting to work school hours with school holidays?

We are seeking to appoint a number of highly skilled and motivated members of staff to work as part of a team supporting children in our reception classes with Education Health and Care Plans who are joining us in September 2022.

You could be:

  • v experienced in working with children with communication and interaction needs in an early years setting;
  • v able to support children in developing their self-care needs to become independent young people;
  • v looking to work in a supportive team where ongoing training is prioritised
  • v able to have a positive attitude and a child focused approach to meeting children’s individual needs;
  • v a team player with excellent communication skills;
  • v looking to develop or begin your career in a school setting;
  • v wanting to work school hours with school holidays!
