Why we like Year 5!

Year 5 is exciting because we have been learning about Wales and I really enjoy Geography. I have enjoyed writing about Podkin One Ear. Swimming is really fun and I’m doing really well. – Alfie.

I liked Bradley Woods because I got to explore everywhere and I liked the visitors who came in to teach us about Ancient Greeks because I learnt a lot about it. I liked when we read the Nowhere Emporium when we made our own Wonders and mine was a beach. I really enjoyed Bikeability because we got to learn different skills. – Evie

I had some really good friends so if I were to give some advice to Year 5’s this year; pick the friends who are right for you – people with common interests. ICT in Year 5 was really fun because I like using technology and we had lots of chances to use them and the IPads. I enjoyed learning the Legend of Podkin One Ear because it was a wonderful fantasy book with lots of strange locations to explore. I also enjoyed break times! – Jackson

I’m enjoying Year 5 so far because the learning so far is fun, the teachers won’t let anyone be sad in school and people unite with other people and are kind and friendly to each other. I like in PE how we do fitness because it works you up to make you healthy. I also like golf because it can be relaxing when you focus on the game and it makes my bad thoughts go away. – Zainab

I like doing all the maths work because I like doing the arithmetic in the mornings as I am good at these. I like doing English when we do Podkin One Ear because I enjoy listening to each chapter, and I enjoy PE particularly the fitness because I like the challenges we do at the end. I enjoy reading because I have got better at skimming and scanning for answers in the text. – Ayesha
